5 Elements Relationship

In TCM, five solid organs are mutual affect. In the homeostasis, the five elements are balanced. A person is in his healthy status.

Any one organ is abnormal will cause another two organs that locate on the opposite directions to be abnormal. The clockwise two are called grand-mom and grandson relationship. This kind damage (negative affecting) is called grand-mom overacting on grandson. On the counter-clockwise direction is call grandson counteracting on grand-mom.

However, if the clockwise direction will be one organ benefit the net organ. In TCM, we call the two adjacent organs in the clockwise direction is called mother and son relationship.
